A beautiful weekend in Fort Collins

Friday the weather turned exquisite.  Plenty of sunshine and the perfect temperature.  We took a little time to lay around and relax in the morning.  It also gave us an opportunity to try out Boo's E-collar (no not a shock collar but Elizabethan.)

Marc came over for some lunch and then we set off to find a geocache.  Down the bike path for a while to an art exhibit called the Water Wall.  It depicted the life cycle of water from the mountains to the city.  There we had to answer clues to find where the cache was located.  Not too far away we managed to make the find.

Saturday we mounted up the bikes and rode downtown.  Our first stop was the Cinco de Mayo fest.  There was all sorts of vendors and a stage with live music.  We hung out there for a while and then moseyed a few blocks to an Asian festival at the library.  Watched a few demonstrations there.

It's great to live in a town with two free festivals happening at the same time! Since the Asian fest was at the library we went in and checked out a few movies.  On the ride back home we stopped off at a grocery store and got some stuff to grill for dinner.  Once we got back home Marc created some turtle burgers for us.

It's a burger with hotdogs for legs and a cheese bacon shell.

Today we took it fairly easy.  We went out looking for a close cache but didn't find it.  Then we spent some time just lounging out in the grass so Boo could be outside in the sunshine.  Then some dinner and a little tv to top it off.

Happy mothers day!!!
