Horsetooth Mountain

After a couple of gloomy, rainy days it cleared up yesterday. So we decided to take a trip to hike up Horsetooth Mountain.

This ridge just outside of Fort Collins was initially considered by Native Americans to be the heart of a giant beast. But when the French fur traders came to Fort Collins they thought it looked more like horse teeth and hence its name.

There isn't much more to say. We took a 5 mile round trip hike up to the top. It was tough at the end with some rock scrambling but we enjoyed the view from the summit on top of the teeth. Here are some pictures.

Even Einstein was tired

The best remedy for a long hike with sunburn is a hot tub so we hit up the apartment complex hot tub late at night and then called it a day.
