Kite flying and Bike riding

Sunday and Monday are our days off.  And we took full advantage of that.  Liz and I spent the whole morning laying around watching netflix.  Then we took a break for lunch.  Then some more netflix.


Eventually we went out into the field and flew our kites.

In the meantime Sara had gone out into the field to collect balsam root.  She got a few really big ones.  She's making herbal medicines.

When we finally got bored of kite flying we sat on the porch and read until dinner.  The new WWOOFer Kelsey arrived.  She'll be here for about three weeks - she was just working at the other organic farm in Wilsall, Cloud 9 Farm.


After dinner Sara and Kelsey went for a walk, Laurie went on a horse ride, and Liz and I went for a bike ride.  We rode up the road on the south end of the farm.  When we stopped to turn around we had this view.

The ride back was a nice downhill coast.  But I wanted to keep going and Liz followed.  The hill going down from the house to the mailbox is a fast fun ride.  The hill going up from the mailbox to the house, not so much. Lots of huffing and puffing back home.  That wore us out for the night.


P.S.  D- I don't know how hot it got but the sun was shining all day and it felt pretty warm.
